Everett Activities
Many communities schedule classes and other daily activities, however residents can also sample the offerings provided by the Everett Senior Center. For a small annual fee, the center provides instruction in painting, poetry, dance and more. They also provide health seminars and organize day trips to local attractions.
Everett Medical Facilities
Community residents can get ongoing care and treatment at either of Everett’s two major medical centers. Providence Regional Medical Center is an award-wining, nationally ranked hospital. While all of their doctors are highly-qualified, Providence specializes in the research and treatment of diabetes, heart, vascular, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
The Everett Clinic has multiple locations throughout the area for convenient access from any Everett senior living community. In addition to providing care in most major medical specialties, the clinic also provides vision and hearing aid services.
Everett Transportation
Many assisted living communities will have their own private buses or shuttles to transport residents to and from the facility. However, seniors can also access any part of Everett using the city’s robust public transportation, and Sound Transit provides rail service to Seattle.
Seniors can also utilize Everett’s Para Transit Service which provides door-to-door service to anywhere in the city. To be eligible for the service a senior must meet criteria of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or be older than 65 with no other means of transportation.
